Blackpool were left wondering what might have been after a frustrating 1-1 draw against second-placed Hull City. The Tigers took the lead early in the second half but, after Hull went down to 10 men when Reece Burke brought down Ben Woodburn on the edge of the box, the Seasiders equalised through Jerry Yates and had chances to come away with all three points.

An inspired performance from Neil Critchley’s men earned Blackpool their first victory against top flight opposition in the FA Cup since 1976. The Seasiders took the lead late in the first half after a dangerous ball across the face of goal from Bez Lubala was touched home by Jerry Yates.

Blackpool fell to a 1-0 defeat against Shrewsbury after a lacklustre performance away from home. The Seasiders were slow and passive for the majority of the game, with Daniel Udoh striking the killer blow late in the first half
