News: Away Day Destinations Confirmed

With football expected to be back for us fans in October, we have created a graphic of every destination in League One which Pool fans will be travelling to. This includes the closest ground to Bloomfield Road vs the furthest distances to travel and includes a tick box to check off each ground as you follow the Pool this coming season. Simply, download the A4 page (link at the bottom) and print off for free to play along.

Below is a list of all the current League One clubs, stadium names and distances to travel, by car, from Bloomfield Road, assuming Wigan’s 12 point deduction and therefore relegation is upheld. Starting with the closest drive (or hop on the tram) to Fleetwood to get to the Highbury Stadium, we pick out some of the key grounds you may wish to visit as you follow the Pool this season.

Some of the most daunting stadiums are arguably the likes of Portman Road (Ipswich), the Stadium of Light (Sunderland) and Fratton Park (Portsmouth) – both in terms of distance and strength of opposition.

This shows some serious drive time. Here’s hoping Plymouth isn’t on a Tuesday night!

Life long Blackpool fan, thanks to my older brother for dragging me to Bloomfield Road in days of Colin Hendry! Currently a seaside exile living in London.
